District of Columbia Council Chairman Phil Mendelson, who proposed COG’s focus on infrastructure while serving as Chairman of its Board of Directors in 2014, has helped promote the effort through a variety of media appearances and interviews as well as a COG video podcast.

Mendelson discussed infrastructure on The Kojo Nnamdi Show with COG Executive Director Chuck Bean and Brookings’ Robert Puentes. Mendelson and Bean recorded a COG video podcast to promote the report on social media.

In addition, a number of outlets have covered the report, 2015 State of the Region: Infrastructure Report, including The Washington Post, Washington Business Journal, NBC4, WTOP, and WNEW.
