The TPB Climate Change Mitigation Study (CCMS) was a 12-month study designed to determine the types of greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction strategies that would be needed to achieve the region's 2030 and 2050 GHG emissions reduction goals, through strategies focused on only one sector: on-road transportation, such as cars, trucks, and buses.

At its virtual January meeting, the COG Board of Directors elected Arlington County Board Vice Chair Christian Dorsey as its Chair for 2022. City of Takoma Park Mayor Kate Stewart and District of Columbia Councilmember Charles Allen were elected as Vice Chairs.
