TPB accepting applications for FY 2026 Transportation Land-Use Connections and Regional Roadway Safety Programs

The TPB is accepting applications for two local technical assistance programs, the Transportation Land-Use Connections (TLC) Program and the Regional Roadway Safety Program (RRSP).

Applications are due March 7, 2025. Applicants have the option to submit a proposed project abstract which is due January 22.

The programs offer short-term consultant services up to $80,000 for planning projects and up to $100,000 for design projects. Any local jurisdiction in the National Capital Region that is a TPB member is eligible to apply. Non-profits and non-member jurisdictions in the region may apply as secondary recipients to a TPB member jurisdiction. 

About the programs 

TLC projects provide a range of services for community-oriented planning activities including but not limited to transit station area planning, bicycle and pedestrian safety, housing or economic development studies, streetscape plans, and trail planning. 

RRSP projects provide a range of services to support roadway safety efforts, including but not limited to local roadway safety plans, bicycle and pedestrian safety, data analysis, road diet design, lighting, and intersection improvements.
