Congratulations to COG jurisdictions: Arlington County, Virginia; Prince William County, Virginia; Prince George’s County, Maryland; and Fairfax County, Virginia, for winning 1st place in the Center for Digital Government’s 2023 Digital Counties Survey in their respective population categories, adopting new agile tools that advance digital equity and streamline county processes.

The four COG jurisdictions implemented effective digital strategies that were constituent-centered, achieving various goals: safeguarding constituent data, transforming emergency management, optimizing customer service, and fostering digital inclusion. COG fosters regional collaboration and information sharing to advance regional capabilities for information technology and security through our support of the Chief Information Officers and Chief Information Security Officers Committees.
