The COG Executive Director plays a unique role in the DMV, bringing together area officials to collaborate and develop solutions to the region’s biggest challenges and plan for the future. The director also guides a talented staff of 125 subject matter experts and administrative professionals dedicated to serving COG’s member governments and the entire region.

The board is looking for a seasoned professional with a strong command of local, state, and national public policy who is skilled in advocacy, diplomacy, and building effective collaborations. This individual should bring fresh ideas and bold strategies for advancing COG’s vision for a more prosperous, accessible, livable, and sustainable region where everyone can live and thrive.
