COG Executive Director Chuck Bean discusses regional priorities with Washington Post

Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) Executive Director Chuck Bean recently announced he will be concluding his time at COG in February 2023.

Bean has spent the last 10 years leading regional planning efforts at COG and has played a key role in setting the foundation for the next decade through a new planning framework, Region United: Metropolitan Washington Planning Framework for 2030

Bean recently spoke with The Washington Post about what it will take for the region's transit system to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, how to prioritize equity and inclusion in regional planning and investments, and opportunities to combat climate change through electric vehicles.
