Time is running out to take the Car Free Day pledge. Thousands of commuters and residents in the metropolitan Washington region have already signed up to go car free or car-lite on Wednesday, September 22, to improve air quality, reduce traffic congestion, and embrace a healthy lifestyle.
Each registrant who takes the free pledge at www.carfreemetrodc.org will be entered for a chance to win great prizes supplied by local businesses and organizations. Car Free Day 2021 is coming up fast on September 22, so take the pledge today!
“We’re thrilled to see how much enthusiasm we’ve received from community members throughout the region as they prepare to go car free or car-lite on September 22, and we are hoping to see even more area commuters and residents take the pledge before the day of the event,” said Nicholas Ramfos, Commuter Connections Director. “By encouraging ridesharing, biking, taking public transit, teleworking, and more alternative commute options, the community joins us in helping this event make a real impact on reducing emissions, enhancing air quality, and improving our collective health.”
