COG's Steve Walz talks infrastructure on Kojo Nnamdi Show

WalzWeb2Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) Environmental Programs Director Steve Walz was a guest on The Kojo Nnamdi Show on WAMU where he discussed the state of the region's infrastructure.

Walz was joined by Brookings’ Robert Puentes and American Society of Civil Engineers’ Casey Dinges.

Walz noted several recent efforts by area leaders to strengthen the region’s infrastructure, including new investments in water infrastructure and the energy grid as well as the current momentum to secure dedicated funding for Metro’s capital needs. He also referenced COG’s 2015 State of the Region: Infrastructure Report, which detailed the many vital systems in metropolitan Washington and their funding needs
