This day-long, interactive summit will bring together technical assistance providers, policymakers, government staff, advocates, business, and funders from Greater Washington to consider new information about the region’s food system.
A principal objective is to consider the findings of several recent and forthcoming studies; identifying areas for “next step gains” and the stakeholders who can advance these.
Other key objectives include:
- Information-sharing
- Provide new framing and thinking about equity in regional food system development
- Finding synergies and opportunities for collaboration to move featured studies’ recommendations to implementation
- Networking with old and new connections
Capacity is limited and registration is required by Thursday, June 20th. Registered participants are asked to skim the meeting background materials prior to June 24 and to prepare for a day of engaged learning, networking, and solution-identification.
