Arlington County's second Passive House is under construction.  This home is pre-certified to achieve US Passive House Institute's Passive House certification.  The builder will be on site to provide demonstrations of materials in use on the project.  Since it is "under construction" the walls will still be open.  The builder will explain their affordable approach to Passive House, including double wall construction and stringent air sealing.  Visitors will also be able to see triple glaze European style windows and how they are installed to minimize heat/cold transfer.  Helen Reinecke-Wilt of Arlington County's Green Home Choice program will also explain Passive House's place in the context of Arlington's Fresh Aire Initiative.
