Bike to Work Seminar for Employers, May 21st

On Monday, May 21, the BID and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments will host a Bike to Work Seminar from noon to 1:30 p.m. in our downtown offices at 1250 H Street, NW, Suite 1000.   Lunch will be served.

Bicycling to work can make your employees healthier, reduce sick leave and medical expenses, and make your employees happier and more productive.  Michael Farrell of the Cowill discuss a few simple, low-cost steps that you can take to encourage your employees to bike to work, ways of identifying who is most likely to ride, and available resources.  Jim Sebastian, Bicycle Coordinator of the District of Columbia Department of Transportation, will discuss DC’s bicycle traffic and parking laws, bicycle routes, and the DDOT bicycle program.
