"What if the Washington Region Grew Differently?"
A public forum on alternative land-use and transportation scenarios
What if people lived closer to their jobs? What if people lived and worked closer to transit? What if new roads and transit were built? How would travel conditions change?
On the evening of September 20, citizens will have a chance to learn how different patterns of growth might affect driving, congestion, transit use and quality of life in the Washington region. The region’s Transportation Planning Board (TPB) is interested in getting citizen feedback on a current study of land use and transportation scenarios for the future.
The meeting will be hosted by the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board’s Citizen Advisory Committee, chaired by Dennis Jaffe. Everyone is welcome. No RSVP necessary. For more information, please contact TPB staff member John Swanson at 202-962-3295.
