Led by COG, DMV Climate Partners is a group of local government partners committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and creating more resilient communities across the District of Columbia, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia, or DMV.
The campaign educates residents about recycling and encourages them to recycle everywhere—at work, at home, and in public spaces. Its website includes facts about recycling, information about where to recycle as well as links to external sites and resources.
NCRWARN is a regional Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network (WARN) of “utilities helping utilities” preparing the region for the next natural or human-caused emergency.
The website supports the Regional Agricultural Workgroup by helping promote farms, farmers, agricultural programs, and the marketing of local products in the region.
The campaign educates the public about proper care of household plumbing, including information on keeping unwanted items from being flushed down toilets and poured down drains. It aims to prevent costly upkeep for homeowners and wastewater treatment plants as well as protect water quality.
COG is working with the District of Columbia and Prince George’s County on a project to develop a regional framework to reduce flood risk, provide stormwater capabilities, and increase recreational green space that can be replicated throughout metropolitan Washington.
