Emergency Managers Committee
The Emergency Managers Committee is comprised of officials from local, state, federal and non-profit organizations within the National Capital Region (NCR). The Committee meets on a monthly basis to address issues of regional importance regarding emergency management policies and practices in the NCR.
The Emergency Managers Committee advises the Emergency Preparedness Council (EPC), the Homeland Security Executive Committee (HSEC) and the Human Services and Public Safety Policy Subcommittee (HSPSPC) on regional emergency management issues.
The Emergency Managers Committee oversees a number of regional core programs specific to regional planning, training and exercise, NIMS compliance, emergency notification and situational awareness.
