This document presents the work program for the Metropolitan Washington Air Quality Committee (MWAQC) to be carried out for Fiscal Year 2024 (July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024). It describes the work to be carried out by the staff of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) that is directly funded in this work program, as well as the in-kind contributions of the state air quality management agencies from the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Washington DC-MD-VA 1997 PM2.5 Maintenance Plan Update February 24, 2016

The District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia request that the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) approve revisions to the maintenance plan for the Washington DC-MD-VA 1997 Annual Primary PM2.5 National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) Maintenance Area, which was approved by USEPA on October 6, 2014. These revisions include changes to on-road motor vehicle emissions budgets (MVEBs) for PM2.5 and nitrogen oxides (NOX) based on the USEPA approved MOVES2014 model.

Washington DC-MD-VA 1997 PM2.5 NAAQS Maintenance Plan and Redesignation Request

This document demonstrates that PM 2.5 air quality in the Washington DC-MD-VA area will remain compliant with the 1997 PM 2.5 NAAQS, as measured by a monitoring network that meets all federal requirements.
