Summary

This report documents the air quality conformity analysis of the 2022 update to the Visualize 2045 long-range transportation plan and FY2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The analysis is carried out under the regulations contained in the Environmental Protection Agency's final rule, published in the November 24, 1993 Federal Register, with subsequent amendments and additional federal guidance published by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The process involved consultation with affected agencies such as the EPA, the FHWA, the FTA, and the Metropolitan Washington Air Quality Committee (MWAQC), as well as with the public. The analysis is a responsibility of the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board.
