Summary

In 2020 and 2021, the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB) conducted a study to explore scenario planning processes and tools that could complement its travel demand modeling capabilities, enabling it to generate and evaluate alternative possible futures quickly and efficiently across a broad range of topics. The study scope included developing an organizational definition of scenario planning, three white papers, a final report, and a workshop.
