911 Directors Committee

The 9-1-1 Directors Committee was established by the COG Board of Directors following the 2012 Derecho as the National Capital Region’s lead technical committee for Public Safety Answering Points. The committee is comprised of local government 9-1-1 Directors, state and federal partners, and landline telephone and wireless communication system providers. The primary responsibility of the committee is to coordinate the support of existing 9-1-1 technology, plan and coordinate implementation of Next Generation 9-1-1 technology and coordinate response and dispatch operations in the region.
