We’ve had quite a few lengthy posts lately so let’s end the week with something light. Maps that change the size of a country based on a variable (aka proportional maps) can be enlightening and fun at the same time.
Accumulating data from a wide variety of sources (from Amnesty International to the International Coffee Organization) SHOW provides users a chance to create proportional maps based on lots of different variables. We’ve chosen ‘Urban Population’ as our first variable. Compare it to the ‘Rural Population’ and then compare both to the countries with the most cars. Or see which countries produce the most wine – this is one of the maps that changes the most. Happy procrastinating.
