Last week the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) Board of Directors voted to submit an application for the HUD-DOT-EPA Sustainable Regional Planning Grant. If awarded the grant would enable COG and its member jurisdictions to jump start implementation of Region Forward.

On July 21 the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB) also voted to approve submission of the application (which is due August 23 2010).

Continue to check The Yardstick for details on the grant and RF implementation.
