The following public service announcement is airing this Black History Month on local radio stations to encourage area residents to become foster parents.
What do Halle Berry, Malcolm X and Eddie Murphy have in common?
All of these famous African Americans were once in foster care.
Imagine if no one opened their hearts & homes to them.
This Black History Month, consider giving back to your community. Become a foster parent.
The DC metropolitan region has over four thousand children in foster care, but only about two thousand foster homes.
Each day more children enter the system needing a temporary safe haven.
Help us, help the children. Become a foster parent.
