Fall Ad Campaign Focuses on Recycling

Nov 8, 2004

November 15 is America Recycles Day, and COG is launching a radio campaign to keep citizens informed about recycling options in the metropolitan area. Radio commercials will air for two weeks on local stations to inform the public on how to sort recyclables, keep contaminants out of recycling bins, and handle recycling in the workplace.

Program sponsors of COG's Go Recycle program include the American Forest and Paper Association, The Washington Post, Covanta Energy, The City of Alexandria, Arlington County, District of Columbia, Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, Fairfax County, and the Recycle America Alliance.
